In a language voted most beautiful in the world, Finnish music is ethereal, haunting and beautiful, and for the first time ever, will be captured at the Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival on Sat 21 February at the Queens Hall, Narberth.
Stunning upper-voice choir Enkelit will be performing the “hauntingly beautiful” contemporary a cappella music of Finland that audiences have described as “magic”, “brilliant”, and goosebump creating.
Much of the contemporary vocal music of Finland is strongly influenced by their folk tradition. A few of the folksongs are very exuberant, but most are characterised by their beauty and melancholy, apparent in all the folksong arrangements in the Enkelit choir repertoire.
